Although our work began with Surgery, we have been approached by allied disciplines in Physiotherapy and Special Educational Needs.
Technological Innovation in Education
We know trainees should be in the thick of the action but sometimes this is not practical. We capture footage on a professional 3D camera and build interactive learning tools from the footage.
ABOUT
Cutting Edge Medical Education, which we founded in 2014, applies surgical, educational and technical expertise to real-world healthcare training and development needs. We have, and continue to, work with local healthcare providers, international surgical training hospitals, the University of East Anglia, as well as local colleges, allied health professionals and professional medical associations.
Members of our team hold leading roles within some of the UK's top professional associations, including the Association of Breast Surgeons, Quality Assurance programmes across the globe, Breast Global (the largest training and educational body of breast surgeons in the world) and the main e-learning and training boards for the region.
PROJECTS
We are providing solutions to address global pressures on the healthcare workforce; helping professional clinical and non-clinical teams develop blended or pure e-learning packages for their staff who have found particular needs during the pandemic (where face to face training has been a challenge). Our main portfolio to date has included immersive online (e-learning) courses which develop clinical skills and critical thinking as well as realistic simulation training packages.

CEME brings together expertise from Surgery, Education and Technology. Our combined expertise predates the formation of Cutting Edge Medical Education by a considerable number of combined years. Our team developed the first online Masters in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at the University of East Anglia's Norwich Medical School, a Gold Award winning Programme that generated a new breed of powerful, immersive e-learning that CEME has developed further and applied to different streams of the healthcare and more recently, the higher-education settings.
